Mission

My mission is to develop a new generation of active, renewable and highly functional biomaterials using cellulose and wood as material resources. To achieve this different research backgrounds within materials science, chemistry, physics and biology are merged in an effort to understand at a fundamental level how interactions between renewable polymers, colloids, proteins and microorganisms can be used to develop new sustainable high performance materials.

Projects

Printed Paper Batteries

Materials, inks and printing processes towards sustainable electronics and IoT applications

Sustainable Spray Packaging

Green materials and technologies for smart packaging applications

Conductive Biohybrid Aerogels

Robust and compressible soft materials for shielding, optical and 3D electronic devices

As a researcher I strive to understand the fundamental rules that govern the assembly of high performance renewable materials.
